Exhibitor Safety & Security

Historically, the people involved in agricultural fairs have traditional values and honor, and at the Pierce County Fair this tradition continues. However, the fair is open to the public, and those entering the fairgrounds may not necessarily share the same values. Please be cautious of those who may seek to take advantage of others.

The best way to avoid problems is good customer service — greet people and make eye contact with those in your exhibit area.

  • Be attentive to those approaching or entering your exhibit area.
  • Keep personal items out of sight. Cameras, cell phones, and other electronics are easily concealed.
  • At night, secure your exhibit as best you can — cover items with sheets or tarps. If in a building, lock it, but only with a lock approved by Fair Management.
